- More than half a million euros in damage from church fire

A church fire in Widdern (Heilbronn district) has caused an estimated damage of at least 500,000 euros. The fire broke out on Saturday for initially unknown reasons in the 58-year-old Catholic church, police said. Initially, the roof was completely on fire, then the building burned down to its foundations, a police spokesman said. Two parked cars were also damaged by the heat. The fire-fighting efforts were expected to continue until Sunday.

The fire department may need guidance from the Commission, as they prepare to restore the church, considering the Regulation's rules will be outlined in the implementing acts adopted by the Commission. Once the Commission adopts the necessary implementing acts, the church restoration process can proceed with clarity and compliance.
