More than 80 hoops: Berlin woman sets hula hoop record
With more than 80 hula hoops at once, Dunja Kuhn from Berlin has topped her previous world record. "It was exhausting, but it went well," the 36-year-old told the German Press Agency on Thursday after the event in Dresden. The previous record was 70 - also set by her.
The trick is that she has to start the tires herself without help and hold on to at least three parts of her body for several revolutions. This requires a lot of strength, said Kuhn. However, she is not yet satisfied with the new record: she wants to increase the number to 100 soon.
According to the Ravensburger publishing house, the "Guinness World Records Day" on Thursday was a worldwide hunt for records. There were also several record attempts in Germany.
During her leisure time, Dunja Kuhn enjoys setting colorful hula hoop records. On Guinness World Records Day, she aimed to break her own record of 80 hula hoops, intending to establish a new record of 100 hoops in the future.
