European Union - More than 1.8 million people have been invited to cast their ballots in Saxony-Anhalt.

Just under 1.8 million individuals in Saxony-Anhalt are being asked to exercise their voting rights today during the European and local elections. The local elections will determine who will be elected for the district councils, city and municipal councils, village councils, and mayors. For the first time, 16 and 17-year-olds are eligible to vote in the European elections. Polling stations will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., after which the officials will start tallying the votes for the European elections. We can anticipate getting the initial results approximately at 7:00 p.m.
