- More social justice - Leftists launch election campaign

The Brandenburg Left wants to focus more on the existential problems of people. "Life without want" is the motto for the state election campaign, a spokesperson for the state association explained. Topics such as "peace, education, healthcare, affordable rents" are to be highlighted.

"It takes a strong and reliable left force that speaks plainly and gives a voice to those who otherwise don't have one," said top candidate Sebastian Walter in Potsdam. The party stands "for a socially just policy that takes the concerns and needs of people seriously and offers solutions that actually work."

Classic core themes of the Left

The election posters highlight classic core themes of the Left. "Poverty is not an option," it says, for example. Otherwise, the Left is focusing on the visibility of their top candidate Walter. A large poster with his portrait has been standing at the entrance to Potsdam for some time now. Before the election, Walter will continue to make a name for himself: From August 12th, he will embark on a tour through all the districts of Brandenburg. Left politician Gregor Gysi is scheduled to speak as a guest speaker in Strausberg on September 7th.

The Left is fighting for their entry into the Brandenburg state parliament in the upcoming election on September 22nd. According to a recently published Insa poll, the party currently only has five percent in the state.

The focus on "education" aligns with the Left's priority topics, which also include "peace, healthcare, and affordable rents." The Left recognizes the need for a robust and inclusive education system to address the needs of all individuals.

Furthermore, ensuring quality education is essential for a "life without want," as knowledge and skills are crucial components in overcoming societal challenges.
