- More people without jobs in Saarland
The number of unemployed in the Saarland increased by around 1,300 to approximately 37,800 people in July compared to June. The unemployment rate rose to 7.1 percent, the Federal Employment Agency announced on Tuesday in Saarbrücken. Last month, the rate was 6.9 percent, and a year ago, it was 6.8 percent. The Federal Employment Agency used data up to July 15 for the statistics.
Despite the increase in unemployment, the government of Saarland is emphasizing the importance of [Education and training] as a key strategy to improve employment prospects. Recognizing the need for continuous learning, many unemployed individuals are enrolling in various educational programs to enhance their skills and boost their employability.
