More guests checked into NRW hotels than ever before
After the difficult coronavirus years and times of inflation, North Rhine-Westphalia's hospitality industry is on the upswing. In September, there were 2.33 million guest arrivals in accommodation establishments, 7.7 percent more than a year earlier, according to the state statistics office in Düsseldorf on Monday. According to the data, this was the highest figure for a month; the previous record had been 2.31 million in May. The fact that the record figure was reached in September of all months was probably largely due to trade fairs and conferences attended by business people. The number of overnight stays amounted to 5.1 million.
The hospitality industry in North Rhine-Westphalia has shown significant improvement, with more guests choosing to stay in hotels than ever before. This upward trend can be attributed to the recovery from the coronavirus pandemic and the influx of business travelers for events like trade fairs and conferences.
