- More firefighting - Fire safety report presented
Thuringian fire departments responded to over 38,000 incidents last year. This marks a slight increase of 1.9 percent compared to 2022, according to the new Fire and Disaster Protection Report. Interior Minister Georg Maier (SPD) will present the report on Monday (11:00 AM) in Weimar. According to the Interior Ministry, there are over 33,340 volunteer and around 1,100 full-time firefighters in Thuringia.
