More firefighting - Fire safety report presented

Information on the deployments of fire departments in Thuringia is provided by the annual Fire and Disaster Protection Report. Minister of the Interior Georg Maier is now presenting the figures for 2023.

- More firefighting - Fire safety report presented

Thuringian fire departments responded to over 38,000 incidents last year. This marks a slight increase of 1.9 percent compared to 2022, according to the new Fire and Disaster Protection Report. Interior Minister Georg Maier (SPD) will present the report on Monday (11:00 AM) in Weimar. According to the Interior Ministry, there are over 33,340 volunteer and around 1,100 full-time firefighters in Thuringia.
