Upper Palatinate - Money stolen from offering boxes in churches: Arrest warrants
The Weiden public prosecutor's office has issued an arrest warrant for two men who allegedly stole money from victims' coffers in churches. It concerns four cases in the Trabitz area (Neustadt an der Waldnaab district), as the public prosecutor announced on Wednesday.
In September 2023, a person in charge of the Kastl parish had already reported the thefts of cash from churches. The 23 and 32-year-old suspects were arrested last Thursday. One day later, they were brought before the investigating judge. According to the police, he issued arrest warrants. How much money was stolen was still under investigation.
