German Trains - Monday under restrictions: Goodwill expanded
On a Sunday, certain long-range train routes in the southern region encountered issues. There were cancellations across major lines such as Munich-Nuremberg-Berlin, Stuttgart-Mannheim-Frankfurt, Karlsruhe-Stuttgart-Crailsheim-Nuremberg, and Karlsruhe-Stuttgart-Ulm-Augsburg-Munich. Rail officials cautioned against traveling in regions of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg where flooding occurred.
The previous evening, a set of carriages from an ICE train carrying around 185 passengers got derailed near the Baden-Württemberg town of Schwaebisch Gmuend due to a landslide. Deutsche Bahn authorities stated that no injuries were sustained during the incident. The significant Stuttgart-Munich route was closed temporarily. The train was retrieved on the following day.
