Borussia Mönchengladbach is more popular than ever. The Bundesliga club has reached the 100,000 member mark, the club announced on Friday. "When I joined Borussia in 1999, Borussia had just under 4,500 members. Back then, 100,000 was a figure that we could never have imagined," said Borussia's managing director Stephan Schippers. This makes Gladbach the fourth club from North Rhine-Westphalia to reach this mark, alongside 1. FC Köln, Borussia Dortmund and FC Schalke 04. Nationwide, only FC Bayern Munich and Eintracht Frankfurt have exceeded this number of members.
