Co-leader of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party - Möller expresses dissatisfaction with the outcomes of the district administrator and mayor votes.

Möller explained that strategic factors might've influenced voters to support the AfD in local parliaments. "The situation leading up to the election wasn't that easy for us," he stated. From January until now, the AfD faced continuous criticism. "We likely contributed to the outcome being what it is," he admitted. Nevertheless, he believed this wouldn't greatly impact the state parliament election on September 1st.

Möller highlighted the victories in county and municipal council elections, where the AfD now has fantastic opportunities. The preliminary results on Monday revealed that the AfD may be the most powerful force in some county councils and the city council of Gera. Möller said, "making politics against the AfD is nearly impossible." It won't be long before the AfD becomes an unavoidable part of decision-making.

Möller expressed his discontent with the results of the mayoral elections in Erfurt, a prominent city in Thuringia. Despite the AfD's strong performance in county and municipal council elections, Möller will be participating in a run-off election for the mayoral position in Erfurt on Sunday. The German Press Agency reported the news, noting that the AfD's performance in Thuringia's municipalities has been significant. Some municipalities, like Gera, may see the AfD as the most influential political force. Stefan Möller, the co-leader of the AfD, remains optimistic about the party's prospects in Thuringia's state parliament election on September 1st.
