Fribourg: News Update - Minister Razavi Attends Savings Banks Event
On Thursday, representatives from the savings bank sector and state politics will gather in Freiburg to discuss the matter of housing. The Landes-Sparkassentag is expected to have Building Minister Nicole Razavi (CDU) in attendance.
The construction industry in Baden-Württemberg reported sluggish business at the end of last month. Thomas Möller, the Managing Director, stressed the need for better conditions for the housing industry to recover from the crisis.
In early April, Chancellor Olaf Scholz emphasized the pressing need for action in the German housing market during a speech in Berlin. The SPD politician urged the creation of more affordable housing. However, he also demanded "large-scale new construction" without the burden of thousands of regulations that increase costs.
The Sparkassenverband Baden-Württemberg advocates for the interests of the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe, which comprises 50 savings banks, the Landesbank Baden-Württemberg, the Landesbausparkasse Südwest, and the SV Sparkassen-Versicherung, as per their own declaration.
