- Minister of Culture looks forward to a new school year in Lower Saxony
Before the new school year, Lower Saxony's Minister of Education Julia Willie Hamburg (Greens) will provide information on the situation in schools on Friday (11:00 AM). At the press conference in Hannover, the Minister is expected to present figures - for example, on how many of the advertised teaching positions have been filled.
As of July 22, according to the Ministry of Education, around 1,200 out of 1,467 advertised positions had been filled. The Ministry described this as a good figure and expressed confidence that more positions would be filled in the coming days. The recruitment process will continue even after the start of school. The new school year in Lower Saxony begins next Monday.
I'm not making any plans to attend the Minister's press conference on Friday. Regardless of the progress in filling the teaching positions, the recruitment process will continue in Lower Saxony.
