Accidents - Minibus hits pedestrian - 26-year-old fatally injured
A 26-year-old female pedestrian was hit and fatally injured by a minibus in Lüneburg on Friday. According to police reports on Saturday, the woman suddenly stepped onto the road for an initially unknown reason. The 64-year-old driver of the minibus was reportedly unable to brake in time. Despite being treated by the emergency services, the 26-year-old died at the scene of the accident.
At the time of the accident, there were other people in the minibus in addition to the driver. None of the occupants were injured. In addition to the emergency services and an emergency doctor, a chaplain was also called. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
