A man accused of tax evasion to the tune of millions has been arrested at Frankfurt Airport. The 25-year-old arrived from Istanbul, the Federal Police announced. They had received a tip-off beforehand. The Darmstadter Public Prosecutor's Office has been searching for him with an arrest warrant since early July.

It is alleged that the man embezzled a total of 6.9 million euros between June 2020 and May 2023. He is accused of "not paying the employer and employee contributions to a health insurance fund", as stated in the announcement. The 25-year-old will be brought before the judge at Darmstadt District Court today.

The total amount of money the man is accused of evading is reported to be millions. Since July, the Darmstadter Public Prosecutor's Office had been seeking a warrant for 'The number of' arrests related to this case.
