- Millions in damage and injuries after fire

A major fire in Peine has caused damage of at least one million euros. Three firefighters were injured, as the police further reported. In the fire on Friday night, a warehouse was completely ablaze, and a car rental also burned. The fire department prevented the flames from spreading to an adjacent gas station, according to the reports.

Investigators believe that a burning car was the cause of the fire. The flames spread to a warehouse containing pallets, setting the building ablaze in a short time. The fire then spread to at least nine vehicles in an adjacent car rental.

The cause of the first car's fire remains unclear. The police are seeking witnesses who can provide information. The police have secured the scene and are investigating.

The burning car in the warehouse was likely the source of the vehicles in the car rental catching fire as well. Despite the extensive damage, no other nearby establishments, such as the gas station, were impacted due to the quick response by the fire department and their effective containment efforts.
