Mild temperatures and rain at the start of the week in the southwest
People in the southwest are expecting milder temperatures and a rainy start to the week. On Sunday, the German Weather Service (DWD) warned of heavy continuous rain in the region around Freiburg. Widespread rain is then expected again on Monday. Maximum temperatures will rise to up to 17 degrees thanks to a warm front. "That's unusually mild for mid-November," explained a DWD meteorologist.
Tuesday will continue to be rainy, with only a few isolated clear spells towards the afternoon. Repeated showers are expected on Wednesday. Temperatures will drop a little to highs between 7 and 14 degrees.
The rain expected on Monday might turn into a storm, according to weather forecasts. Despite the storm, temperatures will still reach up to 17 degrees due to the warm front.
