Upon coming back in early 2023, Mikkel Kirkeskov is again parting ways with Holstein Kiel. The promotion team revealed this news on a Tuesday. Last season, Kirkeskov, a Danish left-back, appeared six times in league matches for the Kielers. He initially played for the Kielers from January 2021 to July 2023, before spending six months at the Polish top club Zaglebie Lubin during the mid-season break. In January, he inked a contract that kept him in Kiel until the season's end.
