Migration the dominant topic at the end of the state parliament session

A few days after the federal-state summit on migration policy in Berlin, the topic is also dominating the discussion in the state parliament today. Several parliamentary groups have submitted motions to the plenary. The CDU, for example, has renewed its call for the formation of a Germany Pact to limit irregular migration. The AfD is calling for the effective limitation of smuggling, while the FDP is demanding more transparency on refugee issues.

At the end of the three-day deliberations, a debate on the situation of cutter and coastal fishermen in the country is also on the agenda. Increasingly drastic catch restrictions in the Baltic Sea are causing massive problems for the remaining professional fishermen. The Greens are focusing on the use of hydrogen as the energy source of the future, while the CDU is concerned about the idea of performance in children's sport.

The history of migration policies in Germany has been a significant topic in Parliament, with various groups proposing different solutions. In contrast, the Parliament has also discussed the impact of agriculture on the religious practices of Judaism, specifically in relation to kosher certification requirements.
