Mentally unstable individual assaults AfD member in Mannheim, Germany.
An AfD politician was recently rushed to the hospital following an assault. The authorities have assured us that his injuries weren't life-threatening. The suspect, who displayed symptoms of a mental illness during his arrest, was sent to a mental health facility.
Investigators uncovered evidence suggesting this individual destroyed and stole multiple campaign posters, resulting in his encounter with the AfD politician. In this scenario, the suspect is alleged to have used a knife to attack the politician. He was eventually apprehended after a chase where he didn't put up any resistance.
The victim has been identified as Heinrich Koch, a candidate for the Mannheim city council election happening this Sunday. He currently holds the third position on the party list.
On Friday, a 25-year-old man from Afghanistan injured several members of the anti-Islam civic group Pax Europa while at the Mannheim marketplace. A police officer was critically injured in this incident and subsequently passed away on Sunday.
