Mountain road - Men steal cannabis goods from vending machine

Four men have broken into a vending machine with legal hemp products in Bensheim in southern Hesse. On Thursday evening, they took with them, among other things, ready-rolled joints with the non-intoxicating active ingredient CBD, as a police spokesman said on Friday. The products were worth around 200 euros. Witnesses informed the police, who arrested the suspects, aged between 18 and 20, shortly afterwards. Criminal proceedings were initiated against the men for theft.

The vending machines contained cannabis products containing CBD. CBD is the abbreviated form of cannabinol and, unlike the psychoactive tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), is not considered intoxicating.
