Melanie Müller, a renowned singer, incurs a fine of 80,000 euros due to publicly displaying a Hitler salute.

In September 2022, Müller, or Melanie Blümer in real life, sang in Leipzig for a group identified as a biker gang with ties to the extreme right circle, as per Judge Lucas Findeisen's remarks. On stage, she was reportedly seen lifting her right hand multiple times. Audience members were heard shouting Nazi slogans, and whenever she called out "Zickezacke," the crowd responded with "Heil, Heil, Heil." A video surfaced, showing her repeatedly doing the hand gesture, depicting a similarity to the Nazi salute.

Müller refuted the accusations, claiming this gesture was part of her stage act for years and has no connection to right-wing extremism or nationalist ideologies. In her statement, she clearly stated, "I have nothing to do with right-wing radicals or nationalist beliefs."

However, the authorities discovered 0.69 grams of cocaine and one ecstasy tablet on Müller, resulting in a charge of drug possession.

The court's decision surpassed the prosecutor's plea for a fine of 5,700 euros. The defense argued for her acquittal, stating that the inciting gesture was a harmless stage movement that is not banned.

Despite the controversy, the singer, who has triumphed in reality shows like "I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!" and "Big Brother" in the past decade, now performs in Mallorca.

Müller's defense argued that the fine requested by the prosecutor, amounting to 5,700 euros, was not sufficient, considering the maximum penalty for drug possession is typically around 80,000 euros in Germany. Despite the controversial incident, Müller's concert tickets in Mallorca continue to sell rapidly, with many fans eagerly paying up to 300 euros for each ticket.
