The Bundesliga, Germany's professional football league. - Media reports that St. Pauli is currently in Turkey for discussions.
The popular Turkish club Trabzonspor is tipped to nab Marcel Hartel as a new signing. As per "Hamburger Abendblatt", the 28-year-old midfielder headed off to Turkey this weekend for talks with the team. Reports further suggest that he's even visited their training ground, which puts them in a strong position for a potential transfer.
Mr. Hartel's immense contribution last season, bagging a total of 17 goals, along with 13 assists, played a significant role in FC St. Pauli's successful journey to the Bundesliga. However, he's made it clear he won't be re-signing with them as his contract's about to expire. In a statement he said, "It's not an easy decision but unique life opportunities don't come by often." Another player from St. Pauli's competition, Laszlo Benes, also made news for potentially joining Trabzonspor.
