- Media report: Undav remains "highly likely" at VfB
Football Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart could potentially secure the services of national player Deniz Undav permanently. As reported by "Kicker", the negotiations with Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion seem to be heading towards a positive conclusion for the Stuttgart team.
After lengthy and intense discussions, Undav's wish to play with the league runners-up in the new season in the Champions League is "highly likely" to be fulfilled. Apparently, VfB is offering a transfer fee of up to 30 million euros for the 28-year-old.
Undav wants to play in the top league
Undav already played on loan for the Swabians last season and shone as a perfect striking partner of Serhou Guirassy, who moved to Borussia Dortmund in the summer break, with 28 scorer points. With his performances, he also recommended himself for an EM nomination and made one appearance at the home tournament.
The Stuttgart team had exercised the purchase option in the loan contract. However, Brighton had secured a buy-back clause and also made it effective. The two clubs have been negotiating for weeks now.
Given that the negotiations between VfB Stuttgart and Brighton & Hove Albion for Deniz Undav's permanent transfer are progressing positively, and Undav expresses a strong desire to play for the league runners-up in the upcoming Champions League season, there's a high chance that Deniz Undav will be playing for Brighton permanently soon.
In the event of a successful transfer, Deniz Undav, who previously demonstrated exceptional talent during his loan spell with VfB Stuttgart, could potentially contribute to Brighton's offensive efforts with his impressive scoring ability.
