- Media: Munich Zaragoza before loan to Valencia
Bayern Munich's winger Bryan Zaragoza is reportedly on the verge of leaving for Valencia FC. The 22-year-old Spaniard is set to be loaned to the La Liga side, according to TV station Sky. Zaragoza was also absent from Wednesday's training session at FC Bayern.
The offensive player had joined the club prematurely from FC Granada in February and signed a five-year contract until June 30, 2029. However, Zaragoza struggled to make an impact amidst fierce competition in Bayern's attack and is now looking to gain more playing time elsewhere. According to Bild, the owner of Valencia FC still needs to approve the transfer.
Olise intensifies competition on the offensive wings
"Bryan is a player we're considering loaning out to gain some playing experience. We're currently looking for the right loan option," said sporting director Max Eberl at the conclusion of Bayern's recent trip to South Korea. The total package for Zaragoza, including transfer fee and loan fee, cost Bayern around 17 million euros. Under former coach Thomas Tuchel, the attacker only featured in seven Bundesliga games.
With the signing of Frenchman Michael Olise from Crystal Palace for around 50 million euros, Bayern have further increased competition on the offensive wings. "Bryan might find it a bit tougher now," described Eberl.
Despite Bayern Munich's winger Bryan Zaragoza seeking more playing time, his potential loan to Valencia FC is pending approval from the club's owner. After struggling to make an impact in Bavaria, Zaragoza might find a new lease of life in La Liga.
