- Meat production is on fire - €360,000 in damage
In a large meat processing plant in Haren (Emsland district), technical equipment caught fire overnight. The blaze at three control cabinets resulted in approximately €360,000 in property damage, as reported by the police. All employees, who were reportedly working there at night, were evacuated unharmed. There were no live animals at the production facility.
According to the police, the fire did not spread to the building. However, as production was disrupted, the economic loss may ultimately be higher.
