Meat and sausage products recalled due to glass splinters
The Schicketanz butcher's shop based in Grimma (Leipzig district) is recalling various sausage and meat products from its range. There is a risk of glass splinters in several products, it was reported on Friday on the portal lebensmittelwarnung.de and on the manufacturer's homepage.
The butcher's shop stated that it could not be ruled out that glass splinters could be found in the jars of homemade minced meat. The manufacturer's liver sausage, blood sausage, hunting sausage and aspic sausage are also affected by the recall. As a precaution, jars with a best-before date of March 31, 2024 should be returned to one of the branches. The jars could be exchanged there or the purchase price refunded.
Consumers should be aware of the recalled meat and sausage products from Schicketanz butcher's shop due to the risk of glass splinters. Affected items include jars of homemade minced meat, liver sausage, blood sausage, hunting sausage, and aspic sausage with a best-before date of March 31, 2024.
