Bosenbach - Mayor and aldermen remain in office for a short time
Following the resignation of the municipal leadership of Bosenbach (Kusel district) due to a lack of budget funds, the mayor and two councillors intend to remain in office for a short time. The Palatinate town with around 700 inhabitants announced on Monday that they wanted to complete a project. According to the statement, it is about upcoming work on the community center. However, the basic decision to relinquish office has not changed, it was said.
The mayor and the entire municipal council of Bosenbach had announced their resignation last week. The move was a reaction to the implementation of the state financial equalization law in Rhineland-Palatinate, it said. This leaves municipalities "no room to breathe". The state Ministry of the Interior regretted the move. Previously, the municipal leadership of Freisbach (Palatinate) had also resigned.
