At the 50th Ahrenshooper Art Auction, the painting "Self-Portrait as a Half-Figure" by the Rostock artist Kate Diehn-Bitt (1900 - 1978) fetched the highest bid of 46,000 euros. According to the organizers, 178 works of art were up for auction. The second highest bid was 38,000 euros for the painting "Painter's Summer in the Village" by the Leipzig artist Bernhard Heisig (1925 - 2011).

Among the items auctioned were paintings by Rudolf Bartels, Hermann Bachmann, and an oil painting by Wolfgang Mattheuer. The sale-through rate for the auction was reportedly 92%, with the preliminary total reaching over 800,000 euros.
