Hamburg's long-distance rail services are currently experiencing significant delays due to obstacles on the tracks. The route between Hamburg Hauptbahnhof and Hamburg-Harburg is closed, as announced by the railway company online. Some long-distance trains have been cancelled, while others are delayed. A railway spokesperson declined to specify the nature of the obstacles. According to NDR, an excavator has collapsed near the tracks at a nearby construction site. It is expected that the disruption will take until the evening to resolve.

The railway company apologizes for the inconvenience caused by the delays and cancellations of long-distance trains. Due to the obstacles on the tracks, passengers should anticipate further delays in their journeys until the evening.
