Massive IT failure paralyzes BER entirely

Due to a technical issue, there are delays in processing, according to a spokesperson quoted by ntv.de. The flight operations have been suspended until 10 a.m., but there are occasional starts. According to RBB, there was a server failure. However, there is no confirmation regarding the malfunctioning of several backup systems.
The Berlin "Tagesspiegel" reports that the first official information about the issue in the airport terminal was given at 8:15 a.m. The issue occurred a day after the start of summer holidays in Berlin and Brandenburg.
Reports suggest a global issue with Microsoft. According to the BBC, similar incidents have occurred at all Spanish airports. Airports in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia, are also affected by the issue. United Airlines has grounded all its planes.
