- Marius Müller-Westernhagen annuls additional performances
Lately, musician Marius Müller-Westernhagen (75) had to scrap performances in Mönchengladbach and Coburg due to health issues – and it's happening again. The concerts in Dresden and Halle/Saale had to be "called off due to the artist's ongoing viral illness, as advised by medical professionals," as mentioned in an Instagram post on the singer's page. These concerts are no longer available on the Eventim ticket platform.
Müller-Westernhagen was set to perform in Dresden this Saturday (24th August), and in Halle on Tuesday (27th August). Unfortunately, there won't be any rescheduled gigs.
As per the Instagram post, the rest of the "75 Live" tour remains unaffected by these cancellations and is set to carry on as planned. Future performances include the Loreley open-air stage in St. Goarshausen, Neu-Ulm, Munich, and Rostock.
Hailing from Düsseldorf in 1948 and currently residing in Berlin, Müller-Westernhagen, with over 12 million records sold, is recognized as one of Germany's most successful musicians. Some of his biggest hits include "Mit Pfefferminz bin ich dein Prinz", "Lass uns leben", "Freiheit", and "Sexy".
The Commission, in light of the situation, might consider the protection of artists from potential hazards, just as it has proposed a directive on workers' radiation exposure. Despite the cancellation of his Dresden and Halle performances due to illness, Marius Müller-Westernhagen's "75 Live" tour continues with shows in Neu-Ulm, Munich, and Rostock.
