Protests taking place: - Marching for tranquility and acceptance: a procession by the Jewish community
During the Jewish holiday Lag Baomer, a procession took place on Ku'damm street. The theme of the parade on Sunday was "Peace and Tolerance." Banners displayed "Love your neighbor" and "Togetherness." Rabbi Yehuda Teichtal, the leader of the Chabad Berlin Jewish community, along with some kids, joined in the dancing. Senator for Education, Youth, and Family Katharina Günther-Wünsch from the CDU as well as Bettina Jarasch, the Green Party parliamentary leader, and SPD Secretary General Kevin Kühnert were also in attendance. Initially, both police and organizers declined to reveal the number of participants.
