Hamburg - Manslaughter trial against 38-year-old begins in district court
A 38-year-old man is to stand trial at Hamburg District Court today (9.30 a.m.) for allegedly stabbing a man with a kitchen knife in a backyard in June. The man is accused of manslaughter. According to the indictment, the victim and perpetrator had argued over money claims. In the course of this, the Tunisian is said to have shown the 54-year-old the kitchen knife in his trouser leg to intimidate him. The later victim therefore grabbed a chair and hit the 38-year-old with it. He then allegedly pulled out the knife and stabbed him in the hand, chest and forearm. The victim reportedly died of heart and lung failure as a result of the stab wounds.
