Starnberg - Man with a blank-firing pistol triggers police operation

A man with a revolver scared the public at Starnberg train station. The 36-year-old pulled the weapon from a sock on his foot, inserted a magazine, and loaded it, according to the police. He did not point the pistol at people but only handled it. The alarm was raised by a bystander, leading to the dispatch of at least six police patrols to the station. When a civil patrol arrived at the scene, the man had already put the gun away, as reported by the police. He now has to answer for breaching the firearms law and disturbing the peace.

In the incident at Starnberg train station, the police noted that the crime took place in Upper Bavaria. The man's actions prompted a large-scale police operation, involving at least six patrols. During the operation, the importance of an alarm pistol became evident, as it was crucial in alerting authorities to the situation. Despite the presence of weapons, no incidents of violence were reported.
