Man trapped under forage harvester in work accident

A worker has been trapped under a forage harvester on a farm in Berg (Ravensburg district) and suffered minor injuries. As the police reported on Friday, the 29-year-old and a colleague wanted to replace a wheel on the machine on Thursday afternoon and lifted it with a jack.

The jack suddenly gave way and the forage harvester buried the 29-year-old underneath it. His colleague was unable to free him with the jack and the fire department had to rescue him using an air cushion. An ambulance reportedly took the man to hospital with minor injuries.

The unfortunate incident could have been more severe if not for the quick response of the fire department. Despite the minor injuries, the man's work activities will likely be affected by the accident.
