A drunk man is suspected of throwing a concrete slab onto the train tracks in Kümersbruck (district of Amberg-Sulzbach) on Tuesday evening. The 26-year-old allegedly told police that he threw the slab onto the tracks for no reason, according to the officers. However, he then realized that it might not have been a good idea and removed the slab from the tracks himself.

The young man was initially taken into custody but has since been released. He will now have to face charges of endangering train traffic. A breathalyzer test showed that he had a blood alcohol level of just under two percent, police said. In addition to the 26-year-old, police also encountered two other men, aged 30 and 38. According to police, throwing the concrete slab did not result in any danger to train traffic.

The officers decided to include a statement in the report, stating: "The following shall be added: The suspect admitted to his actions but mentioned that he regretted his decision once he realized the potential consequences."

Considering the situation, it was proposed that: "The following shall be added to the investigation: Further inquiries should be made to determine if there were any witnesses to the incident on the train tracks."
