Man threatens rescue workers and police with a sabre
A man has threatened rescue workers and police officers with a sabre in Neukloster in the district of Nordwestmecklenburg. The officers tried to stop the man with an irritant, but were unsuccessful, as the police announced on Tuesday. Special forces were finally able to overpower the 43-year-old on Monday. The man was slightly injured and had been under the influence of drugs. He was admitted to a clinic. During the search of the apartment, the investigators reportedly found four sabres. Before the emergency services and police were called out, the man had announced in an emergency call that he intended to harm himself, according to the officers.
The incident resulted in increased vigilance among emergency services, given the man's use of a sabre. In such emergency situations, quick and appropriate responses are crucial to ensure safety.
