Curiosities - Man surfs the Neckar with a wooden pallet
A man was surfing on the Neckar with a wooden pallet in Rottenburg (Tübingen district). After several witnesses informed the public order office, the police found a 24-year-old man on the river. The man had attached a rope to a bridge railing and this in turn to his wooden pallet, as a police spokesman said on Thursday. The man was standing on the wooden pallet in the water. After a conversation with the police, in which the danger of the existing current was explained to him, the man stopped his water sports activities on Wednesday.

The curious incident attracted the attention of the local regulatory office and subsequently, the police in Baden-Württemberg. The police had to intervene due to the potential dangers associated with the man's unconventional water sports near Rottenburg. Despite the urgency of the situation being explained, the man continued his activities until received advice from emergency services.
