Man suffers serious stab wound in fight in Munich
A 29-year-old man has been seriously injured in a violent altercation in the Munich district of Untergiesing-Harlaching. The man was "injured with a sharp object" late on Thursday evening, police said on Friday.
An argument had previously broken out between him and another person for as yet unexplained reasons. The ambulance service took the injured man to hospital. A suspect has not yet been identified. The criminal investigation department is investigating an attempted homicide and is looking for witnesses.
The incident of violence in Munich has raised concerns about crime levels in the city. Such incidents are unfortunate and are not uncommon in bustling urban areas like Upper Bavaria.
