Man suffers life-threatening injuries in attack
A man has been attacked and critically injured in the Gaarden district of Kiel. The 23-year-old was attacked by a group of four people on Thursday night, said a police spokesman. According to an eyewitness, the group kicked and punched the man. Alerted officers also discovered stab wounds and cuts to the injured man's upper body and head. The man was taken to hospital and his life was initially in danger.
The public prosecutor's office in Kiel and the police are investigating an attempted homicide. As the group had fled, they are also looking for witnesses who can provide information about the perpetrators.
The incident in Kiel's Gaarden district has been classified as an attempted homicide due to the severe injuries, including stab wounds and cuts. Sadly, the high level of violence in this attack nearly cost the victim's life.
