Obernkirchen - Man steals currywurst in his underpants

A man has stolen currywurst from a supermarket in Obernkirchen (district of Schaumburg) in his underpants. A store detective observed the 50-year-old man putting two currywurst ready meals in his underwear, a police spokesman said on Thursday. The thief was caught on Tuesday as he tried to go through the checkout area. After the crime, he had shown disobedience and insulted two employees.

The man had already been banned from the store for an indefinite period for stealing from the same supermarket. According to the police, it was not known what he had previously stolen. In addition to a theft charge, the man has now been charged with insulting and trespassing.
