Hamburg-Eimsbüttel - Man sleeps in parking lot: dragged along by van
The driver of a van overlooked a sleeping man in a parking lot in Hamburg-Eimsbüttel and dragged him along. The 38-year-old had been lying down in the Moorkamp parking lot, as the police reported on Wednesday. When the 61-year-old driver drove off in his van on Wednesday morning, he overlooked the sleeping man and dragged him several meters.
When the driver noticed the accident, he stopped immediately and alerted the emergency services, the police said. Using a lifting bag, the fire department was able to lift the van and free the man from underneath. He was taken to hospital with several abrasions and lacerations as well as a broken nose. It was not initially known why the man had been sleeping in the parking lot. The NDR had reported first.

The traffic in Hamburg-Eimsbüttel was disrupted due to the accident involving the transporter and the sleeping man. The police are investigating if traffic regulations were violated by the transporter.
