Fürth - Man shot in bar - suspect arrested
A 61-year-old man is said to have shot and injured another man during an argument in a bar in Fürth. Emergency services arrested the suspect on Saturday night, according to the police.
According to the report, witnesses in the nightclub called the police for an ambulance. Officers arrived at the scene to find a 62-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the thigh and a 48-year-old woman with a bleeding ankle injury. An ambulance took the two injured people to a clinic.
The initially unknown suspected shooter had reportedly already left the bar and fled when the police arrived. Emergency services found him a short time later and arrested him. According to the police, the man was carrying a loaded revolver.
The police have opened preliminary proceedings against the suspect for dangerous bodily harm and a violation of the Weapons Act. The background to the argument and the cause of the 48-year-old's ankle injury remained unclear at first. The investigation is still ongoing.
