A neighborhood dispute over a nuisance has triggered a police operation involving special forces (SWAT) in Hagen. A 44-year-old woman called the emergency services on Saturday evening to report a verbal altercation between her and her partner with a 64-year-old neighbor, as police reported. The elderly man had been too loud, according to the couple's perception.
The neighbor lived in the opposite house. He suddenly fired at the 43-year-old partner, who ducked and remained unharmed. Afterwards, the woman discovered that the balcony railing of her apartment was damaged. Because the type of weapon was unclear, the police deployed the SWAT team. They overpowered the 64-year-old and found an air rifle. The man was arrested, and a criminal investigation was initiated against him.
