A 53-year-old is in custody following an alleged attack on a 45-year-old in Schorndorf (Rems-Murr district). The suspect is accused of severely injuring the 45-year-old, as reported by police. He is being investigated for attempted homicide.
The two men got into a dispute in the early hours of Wednesday, the cause of which is still unclear. The suspect is then said to have knocked the 45-year-old to the ground with a punch and then kicked him.
The victim was taken to hospital. Police provisionally arrested the suspect, and a warrant for his arrest was executed on Thursday.
The incident occurred in the town of Schorndorf, where the dispute between the two men took place. Subsequently, the suspect was arrested and charged at the Schorndorf police station.
