Fire - Man saves himself from fire by jumping out of the window

A man jumped out of a second-story window to save himself from a fire in Idar-Oberstein. According to the police, a fire broke out in the basement of a multi-family house during the night on Saturday. The flames then spread to the staircase. At the time, the only resident of the house was unharmed by the fall from the window. The damage caused by the fire was estimated to be around 50,000 Euro. The cause of the fire was initially unclear.

The fire department was called to extinguish the flames in Idar-Oberstein, a town located in Rhineland-Palatinate. Despite the efforts to contain the fire, the damage had already spread beyond control to other parts of the house.
