- Man robs 90-year-old woman in church and wounds her
A man is accused of assaulting and robbing a 90-year-old woman in a church in Heilbronn. According to the prosecution and police, the 40-year-old initially insulted the elderly woman and demanded money from her. He then allegedly pushed her to the ground and kicked her. He subsequently fled the church with the woman's bag, heading into the city center.
The defenseless elderly woman suffered a head wound and was taken to a hospital. Police later arrested the suspect near the church. It is alleged that before robbing the 90-year-old, he had insulted the church sexton.
The incident occurred last Thursday but was only reported by investigators now. The police are still seeking witnesses to the incident.
The 40-year-old was brought before a judge the day after the incident, who remanded him in custody on charges of robbery and serious bodily harm.
