Man rescued from the Rott dies in hospital
The man rescued from the River Rott in Lower Bavaria on Monday died in hospital. The police announced on Tuesday that they are still investigating how the man ended up in the river.
A motorist saw the body of the 70-year-old floating on the water near Bad Birnbach (district of Rottal-Inn) and called the emergency services. They took the unresponsive man to hospital, where he died on Tuesday. It is possible that he had been cycling nearby beforehand.
The hospital in Lower Bavaria received several emergency calls due to the incident in the River Rott. Despite prompt medical attention, the man, who was discovered in Lower Bavaria's Rottal-Inn district, unfortunately did not survive.
