Search by Helicopter - Man missing in Ruhr while eating - large search operation
In the Ruhr near Essen, police and firefighters are conducting an extensive search for a missing 42-year-old man. The man is believed to have gone swimming or to cool off near a public pool in Essen-Steele on Monday, according to a police spokesperson.
The search for him in the evening using a helicopter, boats, and drones was unsuccessful and will continue in the morning. It is currently suspected to be an accident. Previously, the "Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung" had reported on the large-scale search operation.
